Tetley

RESERVED

If you’re looking for a gentle, mild-mannered soul mate then Tetley just might be your cup of tea!

With his dashing looks, his long legs and trim physique he’s a most handsome chap.  Just look at that nose too! Although Tetley can be a little shy at first when meeting new people, once he feels comfortable you’ll realise what a delight he is.  He enjoys company and will demand attention, offering head bumps and jumping up to settle on your knee as soon as you sit down.  He has a very quiet purr, but you can feel his little engine rumbling away as soon as you start to stroke him.  He loves his head and ears fussed with, as well as tickles under his chin.  He’ll even roll over and let you tickle his belly.  When he’s not sleeping he’s really playful, and especially loves catnip toys and the dangly stick with the stringy bit minus the toy!  He’s great at “catch” too!

The vet estimates Tetley to be around 4 years old and in good health.  Tetley came into our care from a multi-cat household and did have quite a bit of fur loss on his lower back, tail and hind legs due to flea allergy dermatitis.  With the proper flea and worm treatment his fur growth is now almost back to normal and his coat is lovely and shiny.  He has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated whilst in our care.

Tetley would appreciate a calm, quiet home with an experienced cat owner.  He has been used to living with other cats although we’re not really sure whether this was something that he was comfortable with or just tolerated.  He’s been fine being an only cat in our foster care but could possibly live with another gentle cat(s) if introductions are done slowly and sensibly.  We believe that Tetley has spent most of his life indoors and may be averse to going outside.  If he is to be allowed outdoors eventually we would recommend that this is done only after a significant length of time indoors and if he shows interest, and if his new home has a safe, secure outdoor environment  away from roads.
