A Loving Home Needed for Sweet Betsy!

Meet Betsy, a charming and affectionate female Shih Tzu who will be celebrating her 9th birthday in late April! Sadly, Betsy and another dog came into our care after being abandoned, and now this sweet little lady is looking for her forever home.

Don’t let Betsy’s age fool you – she’s a friendly and playful girl with plenty of energy for her walks! She enjoys exploring and can cover a surprising amount of ground. One of her most endearing features is her little tongue that often peeks out, adding to her already adorable personality.

Betsy is a clean and tidy girl who keeps her kennel spotless and travels well in the car. We anticipate that house training will be straightforward in her new environment.

Important Note: Betsy thrives on human companionship and needs to be the only dog in the home. On walks, she can be reactive towards other dogs, sometimes pulling and barking. Therefore, she needs an understanding and patient owner who can help her manage this behaviour with consistent training and positive reinforcement.

Betsy could potentially be rehomed with older children who understand her need for space around other dogs when out and about. Please also be aware that her beautiful coat will require regular grooming to keep her comfortable and looking her best.
