Charity Status Change

We are pleased to announce that on 1st April 2026 our branch changed its legal status from an unincorporated charity to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), with a new charity number of 1215084.  It represents a key step in modernising our governance framework. The important thing is that nothing is changing in what we do or how we do it, and every animal coming in to us will receive the care, attention and second chance that they deserve, just the same as always.  The CIO is now the data controller, although for an interim period, the existing branch and the CIO will co-exist as we work through the process of informing all relevant parties.  If you have used our services before, rest assured your personal data is still protected in exactly the same way; it has simply been transferred over to the new CIO.  Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Bruce

Meet Bruce – he’s big, he’s bold, and boy is he handsome!  This fluffy black and white youngster is between 1 and 2 years old and had been straying before coming into our care, un-neutered and not chipped. Attempts to locate an owner have been unsuccessful.

Bruce has got a big personality.  He’s confident and full of character, he knows exactly what he wants and isn’t shy about letting you know.  He’s very much a “close contact” kind of cat, boundaries don’t mean anything to him and he’s happiest when he’s right up in your space, whether that’s investigating anything that you’re doing, or settling onto your lap for a cosy nap.  He absolutely adores lap time and will happily knead away in contentment — a blanket between you and those enthusiastic paws is strongly recommended! He can get quite excitable in play mode and so wand or fishing rod type toys are the way to go and hands are best kept out of the action.

Having been straying for some time wondering where his next meal was coming from, he’s naturally food motivated. He’s getting into a routine though now that he no longer has to worry, and is making steady progress with his manners.

He’s looking for an experienced, confident owner who understands cats with big personalities and can give him the structure and space he needs to shine.  He would do best in an adult-only home with no other pets, where he can be the centre of attention.  Safe, outdoor space for him to investigate will be essential once he’s ready to go out.  Bruce is now neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flead and wormed.
