Adoption fees are non-refundable, except under exceptional circumstances at the Branch’s discretion.
Our cat adoption fees are £85 for a cat, £95 for a kitten and £60 for a cat over 12 years old. The cost includes neutering, vaccination against Feline Infectious Enteritis, Influenza, micro-chipping, flea and worm control. Additional donations are greatly appreciated to help us continue our work.
 
After browsing through our available cats and kittens, the next step is to complete a Perfect Match form which can be found on the animal’s bio page under the Enquire About Me button. Once the online form is submitted it will be emailed to Julia who will then get in touch with you to advise whether the first stage of the adoption process has been successful. If it has, then you will then be put in touch with the fosterer to make arrangements for you to meet the animal. Alternatively, you can download and complete the Perfect Match form and email it to branchmanager@rspca-altrincham.org.uk

If you wish to go ahead with the adoption, we will then arrange a virtual home visit where all the family needs to be present to discuss your new animal and answer any further questions you may have about rehoming . During the home visit, we can ensure the home is suitable and advise on preparing your home and garden, removing potential dangers, and buying food, bedding, and toys. We aim to carry out home visits within a week of the animal being reserved. Upon completion of the home visit you will be advised on the outcome. If this stage has been successful, you will be given instructions on how to make payment and collect the animal.

Due to changes in the way we complete our VAT Return, as a result of VAT changes at RSPCA HQ, we are now required to clearly display any VAT in our Rehoming Fees and Rehoming Documentation.

Generally our rescue animals are free of VAT, but some which come to us for rehoming via the RSPCA Inspectorate may be liable to VAT. In all cases, the rehoming fee will be as shown on our website and will include any VAT where applicable.
