Charity Status Change

We are pleased to announce that on 1st April 2026 our branch changed its legal status from an unincorporated charity to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), with a new charity number of 1215084.  It represents a key step in modernising our governance framework. The important thing is that nothing is changing in what we do or how we do it, and every animal coming in to us will receive the care, attention and second chance that they deserve, just the same as always.  The CIO is now the data controller, although for an interim period, the existing branch and the CIO will co-exist as we work through the process of informing all relevant parties.  If you have used our services before, rest assured your personal data is still protected in exactly the same way; it has simply been transferred over to the new CIO.  Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Claude

Claude is a sweet 9-year-old male Shih Tzu looking for a quiet home to call his own. He is currently in a foster home after finding kennel life a bit too stressful, and he is doing much better in a peaceful household. While he is timid by nature, once he gets to know you, his friendly and happy personality comes through. He loves affection and likes being close to his people, though he prefers to seek out attention on his own terms rather than being a traditional lap dog.

He enjoys playing with toys and loves going for walks, though he can be nervous in new environments or noisy places. He is great in the car and gets along very well with other dogs. He could potentially live with another dog, provided they have a calm and confident demeanor to help him feel secure.

Claude recently had his left eye removed due to severe dry eye on veterinary advice to prevent future issues. He has made a full recovery, adapted brilliantly, and hasn’t let it dampen his spirits. As a Shih Tzu, he will need regular grooming to keep his coat healthy and looking its best. An ideal home for Claude would be a patient, calm environment where he can settle at his own pace.
