Gem is a beautiful crossbreed who resembles a very fluffy teddy bear! She is about the size of a Labrador, and we believe she has some Akita in her. She came into our care from the inspectors, and though we have no background information on her, we estimate her to be around 3-4 years old.

Gem is such a friendly and good-natured girl with people. She knows some basic commands, travels excellently in the car, and behaves perfectly at the vets. She is also very clean in her kennel, so we believe housetraining should come easily in her new home. Generally speaking, she walks well on the lead; however, she can get rather excited when she sees other dogs and has a tendency to pull and bounce around in her enthusiasm!

She is looking for an active home where she will be provided with plenty of exercise and long walks. Gem can jump up at people when she is excited. For this reason, she is not to be rehomed with young children, as she could potentially knock them over.
